Extensive tour of the entire campus!. Each tour is capped at 10 people. Tour guides will meet groups outside the entrance to the main building to begin each tour.

Town Lake Animal Center (TLAC) General Tour
Extensive tour of the main campus including main cattery, dog kennels, behavior barn and administrative offices. Get a behind the scenes tour of where it all happens! Each tour is capped at 10 people. Tour guides will meet groups outside of the Davenport building to begin each tour.
Tarrytown General Tour
Tour of APA!'s Tarrytown location, which primarily focuses on small dogs, and is home to the bottle baby nursery.
Parvo Ward Tour
The first of its kind in the nation, Austin Pets Alive!’s Parvo Puppy ICU provides shelters an alternative to euthanasia for puppies that contract parvovirus. You will learn about “call out quarantine process.” Each tour is capped at 5 people. Coveralls will be provided.
APA! Clinic Tour
From routine medical care to emergency care, find out what makes the APA! Clinic unique. Tours are capped at 15 people.
Ringworm Ward Tour
Tour our unique ringworm ward and get hands on experience detecting ringworm with black lights. There will be four demonstrations total; 30 minutes per demo; five attendees max per demo; 15 min break between demonstrations.
Playgroup and CGC Demo
See first hand the benefits of the foundation of our dog behavior program-playgroup. You will learn how playgroups can be a learning environment for dogs who are poorly socialized or who have improper socialization skills so that they can learn to socialize successfully and safely. Presentation will include a myth busting session! Immediately following the playgroup demo see our canine good citizen demo and how the program can decrease length of stay! There is no cap on number of attendees.
Bottle Baby Tour at Tarrytown Facility
The Neonatal Kitten Nursery Program is a unique and creative approach to saving an entire class of especially fragile, homeless animals.Since the program began, we have saved over 7,000 orphaned kittens. Volunteer guide will teach you how to make kitten gruel and about the “Weigh feed Weigh” process! Each tour is capped at 10 people.
